Kolkata Children's Literature Festival

The vibrant 2nd edition of the Kolkata Children’s Literature Festival (KCLF) began with much enthusiasm at SPK Jain Futuristic Academy, Newtown, Kolkata. The grand opening was graced by Dr. Shashi Panja, Hon’ble Minister of Women and Child Development and Social Welfare, and celebrated Indian dancer and choreographer, Tanusree Shankar.
The two-day festival mesmerized young readers and families with captivating storytelling sessions, imaginative workshops, and inspiring author interactions. Highlights included Jeeva Raghunath’s “Tell Along Tales”, Rinti Sengupta’s “Rainbow of Emotions”, and Swati Sinha’s “The Three Riddles”. Ashok Rajagopalan took audiences on a journey through space with “Gulgul,” while Savio Mascarenhas led an engaging illustration workshop. Sutapa Basu hosted an adventurous “Jungle Safari,” and Jael Silliman and Roopa Pai delivered thought-provoking sessions on storytelling and mindful thinking. The youngest storyteller, Shanaya Singh, wowed audiences, while Vinitha inspired self-empowerment with her session, “I Love Me.”
KCLF 2025 successfully celebrated the joy of literature, leaving everyone eagerly anticipating its next edition.
