World Earth Day at Jain Futuristic Academy
On April 22, 2025, our students celebrated Earth Day with two hands‑on activities:
Pre‑Primary at the Nursery
Our little ones visited a plant nursery to meet “green friends.” Guided by a horticulturist, they learned how plants clean our air, provide food, and beautify our world. Each child took home a potted plant and became an official “Plant Protector,” promising to care for their new leafy buddy.
Elementary Sapling Planting & Pledge
Back at school, elementary students dug holes and planted saplings for our school garden. Under the guidance of their mentor, they recited an Earth Day Pledge:
“I pledge to care for our Earth—water its trees, reduce waste, and keep our world green and clean.”

"Decoding the Child’s Potential – A Toolkit for Parents"

On April 19, 2025, SPK Jain Futuristic Academy successfully hosted a workshop titled “Decoding the Child’s Potential – A Toolkit for Parents” at its campus. Conducted by Kamini Kapur, AMI Elementary Director of Training, the session aimed to help parents better understand their child’s unique needs and characteristics through the lens of Montessori practices. Parents actively participated in discussions on setting up a supportive home environment and unlocking their child’s full potential. The enthusiastic involvement, especially during the interactive Q&A session, highlighted the community’s deep commitment to fostering holistic development in children.

The new academic year began on a high note with an engaging orientation program for our new teachers!
The event commenced with an icebreaker game, where our teachers introduced themselves and shared a little about their backgrounds.
Our Principal, Dr. Jayeeta Ganguly, warmly welcomed everyone and shared insights into the vision, mission, and values of Shree SS Jain Sabha and JFS. She emphasized the importance of empathy, growth mindset, reflective learning, teamwork, transparency, and professional integrity in our teaching practices.
A thought-provoking video highlighted the value of integrity and honesty among teachers.
Our HR team then took the stage to brief the new joinees on essential policies and procedures, including the code of conduct, reporting incidents, dress code, employee wellness, leave policy, attendance policy, and disciplinary procedures.
To put theory into practice, our teachers participated in a group activity, tackling real-life scenarios they may encounter during their tenure at JFS.
Our IT Head demonstrated the digital resources and infrastructure available to support teaching and learning.
The event concluded with a group photo, capturing the excitement and enthusiasm of our new team members!

SPK Jain Futuristic Academy, Newtown, Kolkata, had the honor of welcoming Mr. Abhinav Chandra, Director of the Environment Department, Government of West Bengal, as the Chief Guest for its inaugural science exhibition, Prithvi 2024. Mr. Chandra lauded the academy for its remarkable initiative in promoting scientific exploration and innovation among students, emphasizing the importance of nurturing young minds for a sustainable future.
In his address, Mr. Chandra expressed his gratitude to the JFA team for their commitment to excellence in education and environmental awareness. “It’s truly inspiring to witness such creative and collaborative efforts from young learners,” he shared.
The JFA team, alongside the students and staff, extended their heartfelt thanks to Mr. Chandra for his encouraging words and valuable presence, which added immense value to the event.
